I Have No Problem with Cindy's Leadership - Jose Chameleone
Musician Jose Chameleone has spoken out following the creation of a new organization called Superstars association. He says its aim is not to compete with Uganda Musicians' Association (UMA) for cash and he is not against its leadership headed by Cindy.
Chameleone says the people preaching hate between the two groups are just selfish and afraid that the music industry is being steered in the right direction.
"I don't have any problem with UMA and don't think I am fighting Cindy's leadership. The new association is for us the superstars. We are way bigger than the upcoming artists," he explains.
He says for years the old school musicians have been mixed with the upcoming artists yet they retain different problems.
The new umbrella was formed on Monday at a meeting that was held at Tavern Woods, Kabuusu.
It is headed by Jose Chameleone with Pallaso as the PRO.
Some of the artists, who attended included Ziza Bafana, King Saha, Catherine Kusasira, and Spice Diana was represented by her manager, Rodger Lubega.
About three years ago, Uganda Musician Association was formed.
One of the very first Presidents of the group was Swangz Avenue boss, Julius Kyazze, who quit before Sophie Gombya took over.
Due to high interest in politics, Sophie Gombya resigned before Ykee Benda took over. He also left citing personal reasons.
Cindy Sanyu was recently sworn in to lead other musicians as President under the umbrella.
